In collaboration with Ms. River Lam from Teach for Hong Kong (programme alumni)

Hong Kong’s youth have long been unfairly labelled as suffering from digital addiction and social isolation, when in reality they are grappling with deeper issues of uncertainty about their futures. As a result, many turn to their digital devices as defense mechanisms.

To break this cycle, the Gighub and “Watch & Learn” programs aim to empower youth to transition from passive consumers to confident digital creators. Gighub is an AI-powered mentor matching platform that will train 30 young professionals aged 20-25 and then pair them with 90 youth aged 13-15 based on shared interests and skillsets. Within the “Watch & Learn” program, these mentor-mentee pairs will participate in a 6-hour AI bootcamp to ideate and create their own original animated stories using the latest generative AI tools.
