Prof. Paul Wong is a accredited registered clinical psychologist and a leading expert on suicide prevention and youth mental health in Hong Kong. With over 25 years of clinical and research experience, his work addresses complex social issues including social withdrawal (hikikomori), intergenerational trauma, and acute suicidal behavior. He is a pioneer in animal-assisted interventions within the region, advocating for humane, relational approaches to support marginalized youth. Prof. Wong serves as a consultant for various government bureaus and major NGOs, including the Education Bureau, the Police College, and MindHK. His mission is to foster a compassionate society where seeking help is a normalized and accessible act for all.
