SSILP aims to keep empowering our alumni and the whole community active by organizing various knowledge exchange workshops. Here are 2 recent alumni activities in November 2023:
1. Breakfast Roundtable with HKU Asia Global Institute fellows Paula Mosera and Maria Victoria Sardillo
The fellows shared policies on advocacy, women empowerment, social enterprise legislation and social innovation in other countries, e.g. Uruguay and Philippines, that provoke our participants’ thinking and discussion on making social impact in Hong Kong.
2. Project Management Training Workshop by UBS Group Internal Consulting team
Project management is an essential skill set for our alumni as project managers for their nonprofit programmes and events. We are thrilled that the UBS Group Internal Consulting team led a workshop to teach us the process, strategies and measurement tools of project management coupled with case study and mini exercises.
After the training, our alumni also had 1-1 consultation sessions with the team to discuss management issues in their own NGOs
The workshop was very practical and it was useful sharing insights with other nonprofit practitioners and corporate partners. We hope to gather our alumni in meaningful events like such again!
