This project will develop a network of Community Knowledge Leaders through training a selected group of refugees and asylum seekers (RASs) in Hong Kong (HK) to provide accessible and responsive community-based paralegal support to the broader RAS community of over14,000 individuals.
RASs face poverty and marginalisation, and often encounter difficulties in their day-to-day lives that put them at an increased risk of destitution, exploitation and legal complications. Practical legal knowledge and improved self-efficacy are key to unlock their ongoing ability to overcome challenges themselves.
