Growing Together: Gardener Apprenticeship Program at James’ Community Garden

The proposal aims to breathe new life into James’ Community Garden by implementing an apprenticeship training program and fostering community partnerships. By enlisting retirees and young people as apprentices and getting community members involved in gardening, the project aims to tap into the potential of both the retired and young populations. Through gardening activities, the project seeks to empower individuals of all ages, promote collaboration across generations, and strengthen community ties. Ultimately, this initiative will rejuvenate the community garden and encourage intergenerational interactions and community involvement.
