Here in Hong Kong we discard a staggering 402 tonnes of textiles daily, yet producing our clothes costs vast natural resources, GHG emissions, and biodiversity loss.
This project will be designed to inspire reflection on resource depletion, pollution, and overconsumption, and support the achievement of Hong Kong’s ambitious climate and biodiversity targets.
The project will leverage the power of gamification, collaboration, and youth education to drive awareness of current environmental issues, inspire behaviour change around how we consume fashion, and prepare young people for an evolving career landscape.
Redress, a local NGO focused on the environmental impact of clothing, will empower a group of secondary students to use critical thinking and creativity to co-create and launch a themed board game for schools and the public.
The game will be distributed free to schools across Hong Kong and sold to families – providing a reusable, fun, engaging resource for classrooms and homes.
