Steady Safety for Seniors (SSS) presents a standardized, evidence-based intervention framework to reduce fall incidence among community-dwelling adults aged 65+ in the Greater Bay Area. According to WHO data, falls are the second leading cause of unintentional injury deaths, with Hong Kong recording approximately 65,000 fall-related emergency cases annually (DH, 2023). Older adults who experience falls face significant health complications, caregiver stress, and substantial socioeconomic burdens. Evidence shows that home modifications, particularly bathroom adaptations, significantly reduce fall risks. SSS will therefore implement a comprehensive ‘Bathroom Safety Kit + Community Education’ program to enhance home safety and promote fall prevention awareness.
