This funding proposal aims at addressing the issue of carers in Hong Kong and launch a return-to-workforce program, by providing unemployed women or stay-at- home mothers with increasing mental health literacy, caregiving skills, psychological overcoming and building peer supportive, thereby achieving the goal of converting empathy to empowering women and preparing participants with soft skills before returning to work in healthcare or social welfare sectors.
The proposal seeks to provide training and support to potential women carers to ensure that they have the necessary skills and knowledge to provide quality care to the elderlies, people with disabilities living in the community.
