“Weaving Gifts, Strengthening Bonds” Intergenerational Family Emotional Support Project

This project addresses declining family relationships and youth mental health risks among grassroots families in Tsuen Wan. Partnering with Mill 6 Foundation, we deliver a 4-session experiential textile programme to 80 grassroots youth and their parents. Using textile-making as a cognitive scaffolding metaphor, the workshops help families rebuild communication and strengthen relational resilience. To ensure long-term sustainability, the project integrates an innovative corporate CSR training model to 2HKU-UBS SSILP Final Pitching Project Proposal cross-subsidise grassroots participation, alongside a standardised facilitator toolkit to enable future scalability and replication across other communities.
