David is the Global Banking APAC Chief of Staff at UBS, having joined from Credit Suisse where he served as its Global Banking APAC CFO, and most recently as the Global Banking APAC Chief Operating Officer. Prior to that, he was with JPM in various roles, supporting the Credit and Rates business and also the Global Equities business. Over his 20+ year career, he has worked at multiple locations including Singapore, New York, Tokyo and Hong Kong.
David is passionate about volunteer activities, especially helping the under-privileged children. This passion has taken him to China, Philippines and Cambodia on several occasions to assist with building schools, digging wells, playing with children infected with the AIDS virus, among other philanthropy activities. Having summitted the highest peaks in Africa and Europe (and having failed in South America), he is a strong believer of the 3Hs required for success in anything that we do: Hardwork, Hunger and Humility. If given the opportunity, would gladly share some of these lessons learnt with the future generation.
