Director of Social Impact, Vice Chairmen Office Chow Tai Fook Jewellery Group

May Lau is an accomplished professional with a rich background in both the commercial and philanthropic sectors. Currently, she serves as the Director of Social Impact at Chow Tai Fook Jewellery Group, where she oversees global strategy and impact programs under the Vice Chairmen’s Office. In this role, she is responsible for managing donations, sponsorships, partnerships, and guiding the global volunteer team. Her work is centered on promoting Chinese culture, talent development, and family well-being, contributing significantly to the group’s sustainability efforts. 

May’s career began in sales and marketing before she transitioned to the culinary arts, where she excelled as a Culinary Artist for Lee Kum Kee, specializing in food styling, recipe development, banquet administration, and event management. She later joined the Lee Kum Kee Family Foundation, where she developed strategic philanthropic initiatives, coordinated collaborative projects, and promoted the foundation’s mission through research and multimedia storytelling. 

Academically, May is pursuing a Doctor of Public Administration and holds a Master of Social Science in Non-profit Management from the University of Hong Kong, graduating with distinction. She also shares her expertise as a part-time lecturer at Tung Wah College, teaching Innovation in Philanthropy at the School of Management. May Lau is a registered social worker with diverse experience and leadership, making her a key figure in driving social impact and sustainable development.
