Project HOU 好 (House Of Unity) is a pilot project that aims to provide knowledge and empowerment to improve the living conditions and wellbeing of 800 ethnic minority individuals living in Hong Kong’s subdivided units. Through needsbased targeted skills training and awareness programs, residents will create a more supportive neighborhood and better advocate for themselves, their families and communities.

This project will be piloted under Habitat for Humanity Hong Kong’s “Pathway to Stability: Building homes, communities and hope for low-income families living in subdivided units (Phase 1), ” and will deliver the following: (1) a comprehensive community assessment and mapping of residents’ needs, (2) development and delivery of a curriculum of educational upskilling trainings, mobilizing donors and partners, and (3) scale awareness of sustainable housing considerations within the SDU context through dissemination of engaging educational materials.
