Shakespeare4All (S4A) proposes “Stage Forward”, a sustainable English drama tutor training programme to address declining English proficiency in young people and the shortage of qualified tutors in Hong Kong. Combining an online hub with in-person workshops and shadowing opportunities, the programme aims to train 10–15 tutors annually to serve 30– 40 schools, reaching 1,000 students, particularly in under-resourced schools. By 2030, the initiative will expand to 75 tutors, 160 schools, and 4,000 students annually, contributing to a 15% improvement in English proficiency citywide. Building on S4A’s 22- year legacy, this initiative fosters confidence, creativity, and a sustainable, alumni-driven ecosystem of drama educators.
