Golden Threads aims to enhances elderly mental health through the healing power of textile arts, addressing Hong Kong’s aging crisis with dignity and innovation. Led by the Centre for Heritage, Arts and Textile (CHAT), this community initiative fosters intergenerational bonds while merging heritage craftsmanship with modern wellness practices.

Elderly participants connect with young Arts and Wellness Advocates in collaborative artistic activities that uplift their spirits and help them rediscover joy. Together, they co- create meaningful artwork, culminating in a museum exhibition – a weaving journey that intertwines healing, creativity, and community.
